2009 POSTSEASON

  • Wild Card at NE (1/10/10): Helped pave the way for the Ravens to rush for a postseason-franchise record 234 yards (and 4 TDs), adding 4 attempts for 8 yards and a TD in the 33-14 victory.

2009 REGULAR SEASON ­

  • Earned his 2nd-consecutive Pro Bowl nod after playing in all 16 games, including 14 starts, helping clear the way for the Ravens to rush for 2,200 yards and 22 TDs
  • McClain also carried the ball 46 times for 180 yards and 2 TDs, as well as pulling in 21 receptions for 141 yards.
 
2008
  • POSTSEASON: Started all 3 games (2 at RB and 1 at FB) and carried the ball 32 times for 90 yards and a TD
  • ­Named to his 1st Pro Bowl, starting all 16 games for the 1st time in his career
  • He led the team with career highs in every category, with 232 rushing attempts for 902 yards (8th in AFC), 10 TDs (T­3rd AFC), including tying a franchise record with an 82­ yard TD scamper
  • McClain also pulled in 19 receptions for 123 yards and a TD
  • McClain’s 66 points in 2008 tied for 5th in the AFC and 13th in the NFL among non­kickers

  • Also had a reception for 6 yards and 1 rush for 2 yards against the Steelers
  • Started and helped pave the way for McGahee to rush for 138 yards and a TD (4.6 avg.) in game 12 vs. NE (12/3)
  • Also had 2 special teams tackles against the Patriots
  • Saw action off the bench (Ravens started in 2-TE set) and scored his 1st-career TD on a career-long 13-yard reception in game 11 at SD (11/25)
  • Started and helped McGahee average 6.0 yards per carry (19 att. for 114 yards) and 1 TD in game 7 at Buf. (10/21)
  • Saw action off the bench (Ravens started in a 3-WR set) and paved the way for the Ravens to average 5.6 yards per rush, and helped protect QB Steve McNair, allowing him to complete 64.1% of his passes for 307 yards in game 4 at Cle. (9/30)

  • Named team captain as a senior, McClain led the way for the Crimson Tide to pick up 3,310 rushing yards over his final 2 years as a starter
  • Saw action in 48 career games at Alabama, starting 29, including 19 in a row to close out his college career
  • Posted 575 all-purpose yards at Alabama carrying the ball 37 times for 170 yards (4.6 ypc) and 2 TDs, and totaling 48 receptions for 405 yards and 8 TDs
